Elon Musk Worries That We Will Have A Population Collapse And That There Won't Be Enough People To Live On Mars
Lmao I love Elon. He's a lot more fun when you think about him as a character and not as a billionaire who can shape life as we know it, but he's making some valid points. Despite what all the people you went to high school with on your Facebook might tell you, people aren't having as many kids as they used to:
Will we see a population collapse in our lifetime? Probably not. I think we'll all be dead before we see any real impact. But, as always, Elon is onto Mars. He's not thinking about dying, he's thinking about the new planet we'll all be moving to and populating, and it sounds like we should be worried! For those who remember The Leftovers, the 2% of people who were suddenly gone threw the world into turmoil. We're nearly at 7% less people a year being born! HOW can we start a new society on a new planet when nobody wants to populate?
I have a solution - Elon, I don't want kids, but I'll pop a couple out… for a price. I've got decent genes (mental illnesses excluded) and nothing but time. I'm down to help you secure the future on Mars if it means I can afford my rent on time for the next few years.
